A
five minute walk from the guest house finds you at BlackHall Yard
which adjoins the Westmorland shopping centre. Across the road
you will find the Elephant yard. All have big national outlets
along with the smaller individual interesting shops.

little further up the main street you will arrive at the Market
Place. Market days are Wednesdays & Saturdays and the covered
market is open six days a week.

bit further on the main street is Farrers speciality coffee & tea
shop along with it's restaurant. Further along you come accross
Finkle street, which, along with the market place is pedestrianised.
The
Shambles is just off Finkle street and is full of small independent
shops
At the
other end of Kendal you can shop at K Village which contains
many factory outlet shops, a restaurant, a heritage centre & children's
play area.
